KitSites! Website Builder launched

Kennis launches its KitSites! Website Builder software package.

It took us two years of study to find the best ways of building good looking and reliable webpages by hand.  Then it took another year to create application software to build them automatically.  That's time well spent.

Our KitSites! application software builds websites for small businesses and organisations from "kitset" models.  Every website will be unique.  You just select the features that you want, then add your own text and pictures.

If you don't have a website, does it matter?

Yes!

"Ah!" you think, "but you would say that.  You rent out websites."

True.  But how did you find out about us?  Through our website?

Most New Zealanders, if they don't know exactly where to buy, look to the Internet to find something.  As far as they are concerned, if you aren't on the Intenet, you don't exist.  They might look for you on a business directory, but not many know they exist.  They might look for you in Yellow Pages, but there isn't much there about you.

If no customers can find you, it matters.

When you change your website, should you replace it?

When should you change your website?

When your organisation...

  • starts doing something new
  • stops doing something
  • changes the way you do something
  • changes location or opening hours

Your website is an advert and information source.  It should accurately describe all you do.  It should not include what you don't do.

When should you replace your website?

  • Your previous developer is no longer available to maintain your website
  • Your current developer charges an arm and a leg for changes
  • There aren't enough pages to properly describe what you do
  • It looks rubbish, reflecting badly on your organisation
